MTB tours from easy to difficult
In order to make the start and the selection easier for you we present to you some of the most popular tours:
Bergstadl round
A tour suitable for beginners! From Hinterglemm you will easily bike towards the Zwölferkogelbahn, then on a gravel road along the Schwarzach ditch. The fork after 1.5 km will bring you a wonderful challenge through forests and meadows to the middle station of the Westgipfelbahn. Over the slightly descending forest road you will finally reach the starting point again.
Glemmtal cycle path
The Glemmtal cycle path will lead you along the Saalach river from the end of the valley to Saalbach and Maishofen near Lake Zell. It is connected to the popular Tauern cycle path and is ideally suitable for families and leisurely bikers.
Finsterbach round
This medium tour begins at the valley station Schattberg X-press and will run over 19.7 km and 740 metres of altitude. Cross the village centre heading north and follow the Spielbergbach to just below the Spielberghaus, then languid serpentines will lead you through the forest. After crossing the ski piste at the highest point of the tour with almost 1,700 metres above sea level you will rest at the reservoir and enjoy the view. Over the forest road or the Wetterkreuz trail you will bike back the Reiteralm and to the Reiterkogelbahn where the forest road, the Blue Line and the Pro Line will lead back to Hinterglemm.
